QUICK APPLE CUSTARD
4 tablespoon butter,  pinch of cinnamon, pinch of powdered cloves, rind of one lemon, one tablespoon brown sugar.
In a medium size pan, melt slowly over low heat,
Add six cooking apples, peeled, halved and sliced thinly.
Add juice of lemon.
Place lid on pan and saute over low heat until apples are softened.
Add one cup of ready made custard.
Stir and warm through 3mins.
Option: serve topped with toasted almond flakes.

QUICK SAUTE APPLES
Six cooking apples, peeled, halved and sliced thinly.
In a medium size pan with a lid place 4 tablespoon butter, 2 tablespoon water, half tsp of cinnamon, half teaspoon ginger powder, one tablespoon maple syrup and one tablespoon of brown sugar.
Melt over low heat. Add apples. Stir to coat apples.  Cook over low heat for 5-10 mins until apples are softened.
Serve with whipped craem or vanilla icecream

GINGER WINE APPLE CUSTARD
Six cooking apples, peeled, halved and sliced thinly.
Quarter cup ginger wine
Melt in a medium size pan with a lid, 4 tablespoon butter, half teaspoon mixed spice, pinch of cinnamon, 2 teaspoon brown sugar. Cook over low heat 2mins,
Add sliced apples. Stir to coat apples. Put on lid and cook over low heat 1mins.
Add one cup ready made custard.
Add ginger wine. 
Add one teaspoon of cream
Cook over low heat until apples are softened.
